Keith James Clarke
Keith loves teaching Interior Design. He is an Interior Designer and Architect and has taught at leading institutions in Schools of Art, Interior Design and Architecture.
For many years he has tutored a series of stimulating, enjoyable and very successful courses. Keith has practiced in Birmingham, London and Cambridge where he made a documentary film on one of his private commissions. In 2008 Keith set up an initiative that celebrated many of the greatest examples of Interior Design/Architecture in London. Over a fifteen-year period he has produced one book, three DVDs and one CD. The material considers the part that buildings play in our lives. (The book: Mahler’s Heavenly Retreats, is available for purchase.) |
Keith is passionate about education believing that it transforms society and brings about benefits for all. He recognizes that the biggest resource we have is ourselves and, has discovered through his teaching, that students know more about Interior Design than they first realize.
Keith believes that students can master simple skills, enabling them to develop exciting and highly commendable design solutions. He has taken students to Paris, Bilbao and New York and has witnessed how some of the greatest designs have inspired student work.
Above all he is wedded to the idea that all students, irrespective of their previous experience, can appreciate Interior Design and go on to make significant progress: leading to substantial improvements in their own work.
